Shivam Shukla is an Advocate practising before the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad since 2019, and independently since 2022 from Chamber No. 40. His practice spans constitutional and administrative law, revenue and property law, criminal law, and family and matrimonial law.

He is the sole author of AI for Indian Advocates: The Practitioner's Standard for Supervised Intelligence and the creator of the Supervised Intelligence Method, the AI Responsibility Test, and the Five Doctrines of Professional AI Use. His journal article From Human Oversight to Cognitive Sovereignty: A Process-Based Governance Standard for AI-Assisted Legal Reasoning is published in AI, Law, Politics, Vol. 2, No. 1 (VIZJA University, Warsaw; DOI 10.5709/alp-02.01.2026-04), and his paper Cognitive Sovereignty as a Digital Human Right is accepted for publication following peer review in the RMLNLU–UPHRC Journal on Human Rights, in press. His white paper System 1 Lawyering and the Governance of AI in Legal Practice is published on SSRN, a further paper is under peer review with the AI, Law, Politics journal, and his participation in the Solidarity AI Conference at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, is confirmed for November 2026.

He presented research on AI in Indian litigation at the International Conference on New Age Legal Dynamics, UPES School of Law, Dehradun, in February 2026, and was conferred the Award of Excellence as Session's Best Presenter by the Vice Chancellor and the Associate Dean (Research).

From July 2023 to June 2026 he was a co-founder of Bharat Litigation Law (with Aniket Gupta, LL.M., NLU Jodhpur), serving as its legal & regulatory advisory consultant for clients in banking, payments, e-commerce, and insurance; the engagement was advisory, not counsel on record, and concluded in June 2026. He holds B.Com, M.Com, and LL.B. (Hons.) degrees from the University of Allahabad.
